Raymond C. McElwain, 75, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Promedica Ebeid Hospice. He was born in Toledo, Ohio to Clay and Viola (Blake) McElwain. On March 15, 1957 Raymond married the love of his life Ruby (Pierson). R.C. worked for the Chrysler Corporation as an Area Manager before his retirement. He was a life member of the Church of Christ, enjoyed taking care of his cars, photography and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Ruby; children, Pamela (James) Young, Raymond (Dana) McElwain; grandchildren, Chad and Ashley Young, Travis, Nathan and Jacob McElwain; and sister Neltine Burnette. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gene McElwain; and sister, Louise Webb Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 2-8 p.m. Interment will take place in Hortons Chapel Cemetery. The family asks memorial contributions be directed to Echo Meadows Church of Christ.
