Raymond G. Weirauch, 87, of Toledo, OH passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Lutheran Home at Toledo. He was born on October 23, 1923 in Napoleon, Ohio to George and Martha (Gabers) Weirauch. Ray served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was employed with B & O Railroad for 38 years and retired as a car inspector in 1986. In his spare time, Ray enjoyed going to Casino'™s and Horse racing. He has owned several standard bred horses over the years.
Surviving are his son, Dennis W.; siblings, Ruth (Augie) Shackel, Thelma Wilson, Orville (Jackie) Weirauch and Don Weirauch; in-laws, Roberta Vasser and Carolyn Cousino Vasser, Martha Vasser Simpson and Carolyn (Don) Vasser Bylow. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Harriet, siblings, Lyle, Paul, Rich and Rose Weirauch, Carl, Joel, Larry, Miriam Vasser and Charlotte Vasser Golightly.
Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, on Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 am in the funeral home with interment following in Ft. Meigs Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Foundation.
