Raymundo Zapata
Raymundo Zapata, 85, of Oregon, OH, passed away on September 8, 2015 at Arbors of Oregon. He was born in Nuevo Leon Rayones, Mexico on March 15, 1930 to Tiburcio and Guadalupe (Ledezma) Zapata. Raymundo was a carpenter by trade and was a member of the Latin's United Club. He loved music and enjoyed baseball and spending time with his family and friends.
Raymundo is survived by his children, Fransico Javier (Juana), Olga (Pedro) Flores, Maria Emma (Paulino) Guzman, Maricela (Juan) Trejo, Maria Irma (Juan) Flores, Maria Elvia (Tobias) Hurtado, Ana Bertha Zapata, Mateo (Jaime) Espinoza, Tiburcio Zapata and Alejandro Zapata; siblings, Reynalda, Anita, Manuel, Alfonso, Miguel, Apolonio and Juan Zapata; 23 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pauline; and 2 sisters.
Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The family will greet friends at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 738 S. St. Clair, Toledo, Ohio, on Friday from 10:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00.
