Obituary

Reuben G. Redieck, 96, of  Toledo,  passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2007 in Arbors of Oregon.  Mr. Redieck was born in Toledo on March 20, 1910 to William and Johana (Brant) Redieck.  Reuben was employed as a conductor for the New York Central Railroad for 49 years before his retirement in 1974.  He hired in at the age of 17 and was very proud of his accomplishments working for the railroad.  He was an active member of Memorial United Church of Christ.  He was a proud member of the 21st Century Health Spa until the age of 91.  Rueben was a great lover of golf and bragged religiously about make a hole in one.  He also truly enjoyed bowling and playing cards.   Surviving are his daughters, June (Bill) Murray, Joan MargeBarrailloux, Darlene Slug Pickering, and Kathi Fisher; sister-in-law, Eunice DeFalco; step children, Robert , George (Debbie) and Frank (Sharon) Auger, Jackie (Bob) Pelton, Betty (Wayne) Nyman; 21 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, 36 great great grandchildren  He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 6 brothers, his wives, Cora Belle (1938) and Wilma (1997); daughter, Georgia Redieck.   Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave. where visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 9 pm.  Interment will be in Lake Township Cemetery.   The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Memorial United Church of Christ.  Reuben's family would like to express a special thanks to all the wonderful people at Arbor's of Oregon for the special care Reuben received during his stay with them.
