Obituary

Rev. Jerry L. Coker 73, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Lutheran Home Toledo. Jerry was born on June 9, 1941 in Knoxville, Tennessee to John and Oneda (Skates) Coker. Jerry worked was a veteran of the United States Airforce and worked as a supervisor for the Cherry St. Mission. He was Associate Pastor at Nation Gospel Tabernacle Church and a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance. Jerry'™s true passion was reading the Bible, teaching the world the lord'™s word and fellowship and spreading smiles and humor. Jerry is survived by his daughter, Sharon Robbins; step-daughter, Judy Carter; sweetheart and friend, Pauline Billings; sisters, Ruth Jenkins and Carrie Haugh. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 14 siblings. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 11:00 am until time of memorial service at 2:00 pm.
