Rex Eugene Parsons, 89 of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Rex was born in Wayne, Ohio on December 1, 1932 to Charles and Esther (Krise) Parsons. He was married to his beautiful wife Sara for 49 years. He had worked in the quality control lab at Materion Brush in Elmore for 45 years before retiring. He was a long-time member of Calvary Lutheran Church where he served as a Deacon. Rex was known for his charismatic and generous personality and his love for dancing. He enjoyed tennis, visiting his grandchildren and great grandchildren and spending time with his friends over coffee. Surviving are his children, Robert (Anne) Parsons, Cynthia (Brian) Arcari; grandchildren, Deanna (Micah) Pickett, Alexis & Lauren Arcari; great grandchildren, Haiden, Isaiah, Luke, Jerimiah; sister, Helen Fast. Rex was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sara; siblings, Edgar, Orval, Arthur and Lois Bockbrader. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00 am at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1930 Bradner Road, Northwood, Ohio. A luncheon will follow at the church. Memorial contributions may be gifted in Rex's honor to Calvary Lutheran Church.
