Richard B. Akers Jr., 25, of Toledo passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 12, 2009 in St. Vincent Mercy Hospital. Richard was born in Toledo on August 31, 1984 to Richard and Audrey (Kudlica) Akers Sr. He had been employed as a packager for Impact Employment Services. Surviving are his mother, Audrey Clay; step father, Danny Clay; sisters, Kristy Akers (Malik), Maria Kretzer (Doug), Leah Akers, Tara Clay and Elizabeth Monk; brothers, James K. Akers and Danny Clay Jr. (Jessica); grandparents, Juan and Betty Vargas; special friend, Sarah Hodnett and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Richard Akers Sr. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 am in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Road where visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 9 pm. Interment will be in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions to either the family or the charity of the donor's choice will be greatly appreciated.
