Richard Alan Besgrove, 63 of Oregon, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, August 12, 2024. Rick was a gentle, dependable soul, who resided in Oregon, Ohio his entire life. The youngest of Frederick and Dorothy (Gentz) Besgrove. Rick was a compassionate caregiver for his parents in their later years.

Rick spent his career at the Ford Motor Company, Ford Motor Credit in Dearborn, Michigan as a procedure writer, trainer and vendor auditor.

Rick and his companion, Christina Wagoner spent 33 years together attending baseball games, county fairs, dining out, and antique tractor shows. He had a great passion for the Ford Mustang, Detroit Tigers, the Ramones and classic cars. He enjoyed maintaining a well-kept lawn and growing beautiful flowers. He rescued his cat Felix and they lived together for 17 years.

Rick is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, James & Kathleen Besgrove; their children, niece, Ashlee Pax, niece, Kendyll (Chaz) Bobbs, nephew, Derek (Erin) Besgrove, great nieces and nephews, Carson, Brinley,  Corey, Taytm, Blaze, Chyann, Bryce, Aubree, Maya; aunt, Donna Besgrove; his loving companion, Chris Wagoner. Rick was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Per Rick's wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Private family graveside service will be held at St. Ignatius Cemetery.

Rick's family would like to thank the road construction crew for their efforts; Oregon Fire and Rescue, Oregon Police and the emergency staff at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.

Expression of sympathy in Rick's memory may be give to Ottawa County Humane Society or to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
