Richard Earl Bloomfield, 84, of Northwood, Ohio passed away, Monday, August 23, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. Dick was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 21, 1926 to Andrew and Marie (Nissen) Bloomfield. He was an Army WWII Veteran. Dick retired from LOF East Broadway Plant #4 in 1982 after 30 years of service. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, playing cards, bowling, ping pong and dancing. Dick was a member of the Christ Dunberger American Legion, Port Clinton Moose Lodge, Rossford Eagles and the VFW in Florida where he and Jeanne spent many winters. His true passion was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving is his loving wife of 61 years, Jeanne; children, Ellen (Jim) Schiavone of Oregon, Chris of Millbury, Jim (Denise) of Columbus, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and 3 sisters. Visitation will be held in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury on Thursday from 2:00-8:00 pm with Millbury Fire Department services at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
