Richard A. Burks, 75, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 30, 2023. He was born on June 14, 1948 in Algoma, West Virginia to the late Conley and Leona (Hess) Burks. Richard was the only boy of six sisters, Joye, Judy, Connie, Gail, Jeanne, and Ellen.

Left to forever cherish his memory are his children, Angel (Timothy) Johnson and Christopher Tabbert; grandchildren, Hayleigh, Henry, Carrie, Timothy II, Mary, Al Jr., Jason, Sara, and Regina; many great-grandchildren; 20 nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Sunday, January 14, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until time of the celebration of life at 4:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
