Obituary

Richard F. Crispen of Northwood passed away on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008 in his residence surrounded by his loving family.  Rich was born in Gibsonburg , Ohio on October 31, 1931 to Floyd and Elsie (Grover) Crispen.    He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Army.  Rich retired in 1987 as a glass cutter from Libbey Owens Ford after 37 years of employment.  He was a  was a member of the Northwood VFW Post #2984, the Sportsman Club in Grand Rapids, Ohio, the Port Lawrence Masonic Lodge and the Rossford Eagles.  Rich was an avid camper, enjoying camping and sitting by the camp fires; but his real love was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Mary; children, Gregory (Shelly) Crispen, Trudi (Scott) Posey, Sally Crispen, Danny (Valerie) Crispen, 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother Roscoe (Betty) Crispen, sisters, Nancy Reyome, Linda (Will) Egner.  Richard was preceded in death by his parents; son, Eddy, and brother, Norman.Visitation will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-9 p.m at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road , Millbury , Ohio and where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park .  Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Rich's memory are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
