Richard "Dick" H. Klevorn , 73, of Toledo, OH passed away December 30, 2003 in Orchard Villa. He was born in Toledo, OH on August 11, 1930. Dick was a veteran of the US Air Force and was employed by Gem Industrial as a warehouse manager for 10 years retiring in 1997. Through the years, Dick drove a bread truck for 20 years, worked security at BGSU sporting events, and managed Duff's Smorgasbord in Monroe, Michigan. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the Arthur Daly Post American Legion. Dick was an avid college hockey fan.
Surviving are his wife of 6 1/2 years, Linda A. Klevorn, sons, Rick E. and Chris A. (Cathy) Klevorn; daughter, Penny S. (Roy) Mercurio; step-children, Scott (Dana) Miller, Amy (Ken) Molnar and Matt (Melissa) Miller; sister, Ruth Schiel; 17 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Dick was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Friday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday, January 3, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. and proceed to St. Ignatius Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Dick's memory can be made to the Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Foundation.
