Richard Andrew Hanudel, Jr, 61 of Oregon, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Mercy St Charles Hospital. Rick was born in Oregon, Ohio on April 14, 1960 to Richard A. Sr. and MaryJo Ann (McBride) Hanudel. Rick was a 1978 graduate of Waite High School. He had worked for Lucas County Road Maintenance Department for 25 years. He was a very active member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and VFW Post 4906 for many years in many ways.
Rick was a man of faith with a heart of gold. He was a very active and involved father, papa, brother, and uncle to many. His love for his children was strong and he would do anything for them but the love he had for his granddaughters was beyond measure. He truly was the best and will be dearly missed by many.
Surviving Rick are his children, Nick (Missy Sullivan) Hanudel, Natalie (Matt Rosenbrook) Hanudel; grandchildren Destiny, Audree, Elli and one on the way; siblings, Janet (Willie) Barfield, Pamela (Andy) Kovacs, Patricia (Greg Orban) Wagner, David (Teresa) Hanudel, Danny (Roberta) Hanudel, Steve (Doris Spaulding) Hanudel, and Vincent Hanudel and brother-in-law Greg Weislak. Aunt Kaye (McBride) Tomsic and Uncle Bob (Jan) McBride. And many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Rick and MaryJo, his Aunt Nan McBride, Uncle Stan Tomsic, sister, Terri (Hanudel) Weislak, and cousins Gary Tomsic and Barb Rudnicki.
Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, December 10, from 12:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.. The family will also receive friends at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N.
