Richard S. Harsh, Sr., 65, passed away on November 18, 2012 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. He was born in Blissfield, MI on September 16, 1947 to Arthur and Bernadine (Owens) Harsh. Richard served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War where he was the recipient of 2 Purple Hearts. He was a good mechanic and enjoyed doing yard work as well as arts and crafts. Richard loved being a neighbor and all of the neighbors loved him. He loved joking around with everyone. Richard liked to tell people that he could dance, even though everyone knew he couldn'™t. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen; children, Orah, Richard Jr., Amy, and Holly Harsh; grandchildren, Cody, Dylan, Jessica and Deborah; siblings, Arthur (Sue), Ronnie, Darryl, and Jane Harsh, Patty (Roy) Dozier. He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Joan and Zachariah; brothers, Walter and Tim; sister, Gertrude. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Sunday, November 25, 2012 from Noon until 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will take place in the funeral home on Monday beginning at 1:30 p.m. Interment will take place in Lake Township Cemetery.
