Richard R. Hartford Jr. 76, of Oregon, Ohio passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 25, 2024. He was born in Oregon Township on March 25, 1948 to Richard R. and Rose Marie (Boyd) Hartford Sr. Rick served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a simple man that enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, listening to old time radio and spending time with his 4-legged companions, Missy, Reece and Candy. What he cherished most was his loving family.

Rick is survived by his brothers, Robert, Harvey, Larry (Deanna), Ronald (Carolyn), Jeffrey (Mary); sister, Kimberly (Steve); and many nieces, nephews and loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ken Hartford.

The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in North Oregon Cemetery.
