Richard L. Jones, 88, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born on June 28, 1926 to Normel Jones and Cleo (Camper) Jones. Richard was a US Army veteran serving during WWII. After his service he met the love of his life, June (Noethen) and they married on August 30, 1949. Richard worked for LOF as a welder for 35 years before retiring in 1984. In his earlier years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and water skiing. He also enjoyed camping with his wife and children. Most of all Richard loved spending time with his family. Richard is survived by his wife of 65 years, June; children, Terry (Vicki) Jones, Larry (Melissa) Jones; grandchildren Amber (Tait) Miller, Edward (Jenna) Jones, Beau (Dana) Miller; great-granddaughter, Dominique and 5 other great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Carrie Marie and son Gary. According to Richards wishes there will be no services. Eggeleston-Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
