Richard J. Korecki Sr., 72, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Monday, February 9, 2009 in his home. Mr. Korecki was born in Toledo on March 31, 1936 to Stanley and Helen (Jasinkowski) Korecki. Richard was a US Army veteran. He had retired as a maintenance man for the Colorado Public Schools. He had previously worked for Toledo Plate Glass and as a truck driver for 20 years. Surviving are his son, Richard (Susan) Korecki Jr.; daughter, Kellie (David) Sheets; brothers, Tony (Barb) and Don (Joanne) Korecki; sisters, Patricia (Melvin) Sibberson and JoAnn (Walter) Krieg; 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, February 14th at 2:00 pm in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road. The interment will be private. Family will greet visitors beginning at noon. Memorial contributions in Richard's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
