"Dick" Richard S. Molnar, 75, of Oregon, Ohio, was welcomed into God's Eternal Kingdom on November 21, 2008, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Richard was born on August 23, 1933 to Andrew and Mary (Vetesy) Molnar. He graduated from Waite H.S. in 1951 where he was an outstanding pitcher for the baseball team. Richard served 2 years in the Army. He then worked as a draftsman for 42 years at the Toledo Edison, retiring in 1993. He married the love of his life on May 3, 1958 and he and Margie had three children. Richard played ball and coached his 2 sons for many years. After retiring, he and Margie enjoyed traveling. Dick volunteered for St. Jerome Church, where he was a member, and St. Charles Hospital. Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years, Margie; daughter, Michelle (Ron) Triggs; sons, Rick (Jayne) and Tim (Kim) Molnar; grandchildren, Carrie, Sean, Brett, Jessica, Matthew, Shane, Tyler, Adam, Amber and Aaron; sisters, Mary Jeanne (Louis) Olah and Betty Howald; brother, Gary (Phyllis) Molnar, and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew him. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Andy. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday and Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 9 a.m. and proceed to St. Jerome Catholic Church for 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Richard's memory are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
