Richard A. Murray Jr., 83, of Toledo, Ohio passed away December 8, 2012 at Arbors of Oregon. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 20, 1929 to Richard Sr. and Lucille (Small) Murray. Richard was a 22 year veteran of the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1970 from the Aviation Supply Dept. He was also employed as a clerk with Ohio Bell retiring in 1992 and most recently employed at Lagrange School as a school community partner. Richard was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association, Retired Enlisted Association, Handyman Club of America, AARP and the Toledo Telephone Pioneers. Richard is survived by his children, Denise, Dennis and Kirk Murray; grandsons, James and Matthew (Stacey) Murray; Brothers, Gerald 'œCorky' (Mary) Murray, Edward (Emily) and Kenneth (Sharon) Weirich; sisters, Carol Ann (Larry) Von Ahrens, Linda (Dooley) Lawson and Sandra (Doug) Holan. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert and Donald; sister Donna Jean Wells. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Richard'™s memory are asked to consider a charity of the donor'™s choice.
