On Saturday, April 17, 2021, Richard W. Navarre, our father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, passed away unexpectedly in his home. Rick was born in Toledo, Ohio, on August 27, 1951 to Walter and Rose (Surprise) Navarre. He graduated from Start High School and would work several jobs throughout his career. Rick was a hard worker and took in pride in everything he did. He cherished the relationships he built through work, judging boxing, coaching and umping softball. He was a mainstay in Toledo recreational sports and loved the Toledo Storm/Walleye and the Cleveland Indians. Rick was a selfless father and grandfather and always put his kids and grandkids first. Papa Rick took the most pride in being a grandfather and will be dearly missed by many. Rick is survived by his children, Angie (Mark) Wietrzykowski, Stephanie (Kenny) Miller, Richard (Kathy) Navarre, Brittany Navarre-Pozniak; grandchildren, Gabbi, Amanda, Kadyn, Damien, Bella, Ana, Maren, Raven, Brooks; siblings, Wally, Connie, Beverly. Cheryl, Judy, Dave; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents.
