IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard A.
Orth
October 5, 1947 – August 1, 2025
On August 1, 2025 this world lost a great man! Known to many for his generosity and hard work. Richard Arnold Orth was a devoted husband, loving brother and father and caring friend. Born to his parents, Warren and Mary (Hartford) Orth, Richard grew up in Oregon, Ohio. He was a laborer with the Local 500 for 32 years.
Richard spent his life building more than just structures – he built a legacy of love, generosity, and hard work. As a skilled construction worker, he took pride in his craft and would call out the many projects he was a part of when driving by. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and time with his family.
Richard was known for his unwavering dedication to his family. He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, DeEtte; son, Richard (Heidi); daughter, Julie (Mike) Burkey; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a steady presence in their lives. His kindness extended beyond his family – he was loved by many and remembered for his selflessness and generosity.
To know Richard was to know someone who never hesitated to lend support, fix what was broken, or simply be there when needed. His legacy lives in the lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 5 and Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
