Richard K. Pavley, 63, of Flushing, Michigan, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 in McLaren Regional Hospital, Flint. Michigan. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 25, 1957 to Edward F. and Arlene M. (Cook) Pavley. Rick graduated from Westerville South High School and attended Bowling Green State University. He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked as an Air Traffic Controller for 26 years retiring in 2006. Rick was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling on his property "Pavley's Paradise" in Lachine, MI. He always had an "open door" policy for friends and family and enjoyed spending time with all that shared his love for the great outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine; step-children, Scott Gross, Erika (Adam) Peyerk and David Gross; siblings, Dennis (Lisa) Pavley, Cindy (Steve Stamper) Pavley, Carol (Tim) Baldwin, Sue Janssen and Ronald (Jessica) Pavley; step-grandchildren, Ian and Connor Gross, Emma, Anna and Morgan Peyerk and many nieces, nephews and cousins that he loved dearly.
The family will receive friends at the Rossell Funeral Home 307 E. Main St. Flushing, MI 48433 on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from noon until the Celebration of Life ceremony at 2:00 P.M. A reception following his service will be held at the St. Roberts Activity Center with some of Rick's favorite food. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
