Richard (Rick) L. Pelczarski, 65, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away quietly at his home on April 21, 2008, under the loving care of his family. Richard was born on September 14, 1942 to Walter and Pearl Pelczarski. He worked at Dana for 6 years, then he retired from Toledo Edison in 1993 after 22 years of service. Rick then went on to become a licensed massage therapist. He enjoyed life to the fullest and liked to spend time with his family, play cards, fish, and sail on his sailboat.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jim, John (Kay) and Jeff (Laurie); sister, Sharon (David) Larry; aunt, Josephine Kelly; uncle, Chuck Farrell and several cousins. Also surviving is his loving companion, Suzanne Baldwin, her daughter, Jody Schaedler and grandchildren, Maggie, Elliott and Christie, special friend, Annette Halka, Suzannes sister.
Visitation will be at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel 440 S. Coy Road on Saturday, April 26, 2008 from 2-9 p.m. with the funeral service to be held at 5:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the staff at Flower Hospital and Heartland Hospice for their care and support. Those wishing to make a contribution are asked to consider Heartland Hospice. Ricks spirit of life was shown by what he did for others. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
