Richard L. Hornyak Jr., 47, of Oregon, OH passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011 at St. Luke'™s Hospital. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 21, 1963 to Richard Sr. and Patricia (Zam) Hornyak. Rich was a graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School. He was employed at Meijer in the IT Department. Before Meijer, Rich along with his wife owned and operated a small business called Innovative Promotions. Rich was a firm believer of reading The Bible daily and was a member of New Life of Toledo Church. He was also a member of the William Penn Association. Some of Rich'™s great enjoyments in life were golf, fantasy football, gardening, fishing and smoking stinky cigars. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Rich was a big fan of the Denver Bronco'™s.
Surviving are his loving wife, Tammy; children, Brandi (Eric) Harvey, Brooke Hornyak (A.J. Nowaczyk), Brittany Hornyak, E5USN, Josh and Jared Hornyak, and Lucas Butler; grandchildren, Evan, Hayden, Abigail and Brycen; parents, Richard Sr. and Pat Hornyak; sister, Cheryl Ann (John) Perlaky; father and mother-in-law, John and Pat Mitchell; brothers and sisters-in-law, John (Denise) Mitchell and Kimberly (Chris) Dorn; many nieces and nephews, and his faithful dogs, Luka and Rocky. Rich was preceded in death by his grandparents, Julia Rose and Emery Hornyak Sr., and Paul and Lola Zam, uncle, Emery Hornyak Jr.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Saturday, from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday from 12 Noon -8 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary on Sunday at 4 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at New Life of Toledo Church, 30470 Lemoyne Rd., Walbridge, Ohio on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Rich'™s family would be greatly appreciated.

Sunday, Noon - 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 4pm
Services: Monday, 11:00 a.m. at New Life of Toledo Church, 30470 Lemoyne Rd., Walbridge, OH
