Richard "Rick" L. Smoot, 45, of Oregon, OH passed away February 4, 2007, in his home. He was born in Oregon, OH on April 9, 1961, to Charles and Ruby (Chapman) Smoot. Rick was employed by Toledo Jeep as a skilled tradesman in the machine repair department. Surviving are his children, Destinie, Ricky II, Matthew and Kenneth Smoot; grandchildren, Hanna, Isaiah, Vincent and Ricky; parents, Charles and Ruby Smoot; brothers and sisters, Charles Smoot, Glenna Vinet, Terry Smoot, Connie Monk, Dave Smoot, Kenny Smoot, Mark Smoot, Marcella Amerson, Tammy Frampton and Joyce Smoot. Rick was preceded in death by his sisters, Christine Inez Smoot, Patty Bleim; nephew, Andy Smoot and niece, Kimberly Smoot. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church, 201 Guy Street, Walbridge, OH, where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
