Richard L. Stewart, 78, of Oregon, OH passed away Thursday, August 18, 2005 in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. He was born in Dundee, MI on August 23, 1926 to Theodore and Hazel (Borgert) Stewart. Richard served in the US Air Force during WW II and was then employed by Standard Oil/BP Refinery for 42 yrs., retiring in 1985 as a plant superintendent. Richard enjoyed his family and sharing in the lives of his grandsons, Rick and Randy, who were the light of his life. Surviving are his loving wife of 58 yrs., Shirley; son, Jim (Judy); brother, Donald (Phyllis) of Florida; sisters, Shirley Stewart and Frances Garris; grandsons, Rick and Randy. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Theodore. Friends and family may visit from 4 until 9 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2005 in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road. Funeral services will be private and interment will be in Lake Township Cemetery.
