Richard E. Whisler, 85, of Oregon passed away August 19 2005 at the Lutheran Home at Toledo. Richard was born in Findlay, OH to Charles and Gail (Grubb) Whisler. Mr. Whisler was a school teacher for 35 years, teaching 3 years at Jerusalem School, 25 years at Navarre School and 7 years at East Toledo Junior High. Richard was a US Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and loved to adopt and take care of cats. Surviving are daughter, Karin Kay Whisler and sister, Dorotha Basinger. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita. There will be no visitation and funeral services will be private. Arrangements by the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Homes.
