Rilla M. Haas, 88, of Beach Park, Illinois and formerly of Toledo passed away on Monday, November 19, 2007. Mrs. Haas was born in Toledo on December 9, 1918, to Henry and Helen (DuBois) Smith. She was the widow of Carolan "Pete" Haas. Rilla was a member of Good Shepherd Church. Surviving are her sons, James and Jerry Amrhein; daughter, Patricia (James) Amrhein Plezia; sister, Alene "Babe" Benarth; brother, Ed Smith; 9 grandchildren and many great-grand-children including, Tyler "Her Little Guy", Alex "Her Little Lover", Savannah "Her Big Helper" and Gabrielle "Her Babydoll". She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Hank Smith.   Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and proceed to Good Shepherd Church for the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Willow Cemetery. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
