Rita M. Gahler-Sessler, 81 , of Oregon, Ohio passed away, Monday, September 6, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Rita was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 9, 1929 to Mathais J and Elsie M. (Easterwood). She retired from the Oregon City Schools where she was a custodial worker. In her spare time Rita loved playing bingo, cards on the computer, going to the casinos, polka music and butterflies. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Calvin E. Gahler, 8 brothers and 7 sisters. Surviving are her husband, Richard Sessler; children Ruth A. (Tom) Hallock, Robert A. (Charlene) Gahler, Roy A. (Janice) Gahler, Linda S. (Ron) Iler; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson; brother James (Esther) Irmen. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 11:00 am in Christ United Methodist Church, 5757 Starr Avenue Extension, Oregon, Ohio.
