Robert L. 'œBob' Auger passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2013. He was born at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio on October 18, 1934 to Frank J. Auger and Wilma Gidley. Bob owned and operated Auger'™s Sunoco on Woodville Road in Oregon, Ohio until his retirement in 1995. He was an avid sports fan including his beloved Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Buckeyes. He also enjoyed playing golf, maintaining his immaculate lawn and an array of beautiful flowers. He also loved and collected many different cars and trucks old and new over his lifetime.
Surviving are his children; son, Terry (Patricia) Auger of Oak Harbor, Ohio, son, Robert (Pamela) Auger of Curtice, Ohio, and daughter, Amy (Vernon) Meinke of Curtice, Ohio. Grandchildren; Scott, Jaime (Jamie), Christy, Shannon (Jim), Ashley (Sam), Nick (Christina), Dru (Monika), Cody, Victoria, Jayden, and Jay. Great-Grandchildren; Mackenzie, Sarah, and Seth. Siblings; Betty (Wayne) Nyman; Jackie (Bob) Pelton; George (Debbie) Auger; and Frank (Sharon) Auger. Son-in-Law, Thomas Twardzik; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joanne F. Auger; and daughter, Tammy Twardzik.
Friends and family may visit from 2 until 8 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013 in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, where funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
