Robert L. Blowers, 72, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2004, in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. Robert was born in Toledo on January 24, 1932, to Joseph and Ruth (Strawser) Blowers. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Blowers was employed at the Libbey Glass Company as an operator for over 40 years before his retirement in 1994. He was a member of Paragon Lodge, F&AM and the Jackman Road Faternal Order of the Eagles. Surviving are his daughter, Becky Waingrow; stepdaughter, Diana Dunn; stepsons, Larry (Sue) Dunn, Rick Roach and Richard Roach; brother, Joseph (Carolyn) Blowers; sister, Emma Fleming and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marilyn; brother, William Blowers. Family and friends may visit from 2 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2004, in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH, where funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
