Robert L. Carpenter, 68, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2006 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. Bob was born on June 1, 1938 in Toledo, OH to Troy and Helen (Fryman) Carpenter. He was retired from the U.S. Army after serving 23 years which included a year's tour in Vietnam. Bob was a very active member of the AA fellowship for almost 25 years. He was also very active in #9963 VFW Post activities. He will be missed by his family and numerous friends.   Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Monica (Hornstein); daughter, Suzie (Chad) Wetmore; grandsons, Kenny, who is current serving with the U.S. Army in Iraq,  Mark and Greg Wetmore; brothers, Troy, Jack (Joyce) and Jim (Caroline) Carpenter; sisters, Jane (Carl) Wise, Betty Dupont, Pat Baldwin, Barbara (Karl) Scheuerman and Judy (Frank) Kiss. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents.   Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2006 from 2-6 p.m. and Monday from 3-8 p.m. in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd., Millbury, OH. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will following in Restlawn Memorial Park.
