Robert C. Bollman, 74, of Oregon, Ohio passed away December 11, 2011 at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital. He was born on April 14, 1937 to Harold and Helen (Walsh) Bollman. Robert was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He worked at Lake Front Docks as a longshoreman for 39 years before retiring in 1993. Robert was an avid Notre Dame Fan. He was known as a 'œJokester', but was a very generous man to his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He always made sure they got their 'œPayday Dollar'.
Robert is survived by his sisters, Etta, Helen, Anna, Pat and Marge Bollman, Theresa (Sherman) Hallett; brothers, Jim and Mike (Pat) Bollman; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Harold Bollman; brothers, Joe and John.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with Rosary services at 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. and proceed to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Locust St. at Erie St. in Toledo for Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Robert'™s name are asked to consider St. Joseph Catholic Church.
