Robert "Bob" Boos, age 82, passed away in his home on March 19, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Oregon, Ohio on January 11, 1942 to Adolph Augustus and Lucille Leota (Eckman) Boos. Preceding him in death were his brothers Donald, Milton, and Ray.
Bob is survived by his children Clint (Jennifer), Lynette, and Bret; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends and colleagues. He was a devoted father and cherished spending time with his family.
Bob graduated from Clay High School in 1960, and bravely served his country in the United States Army as a Green Beret. He used the GI Bill to earn his pilot's license, a testament to his adventurous spirit and determination.
Bob started as a bricklayer in the family business, A.A. Boos and Sons, Inc., and his hard work and dedication propelled him to positions of leadership, including roles as superintendent, president, CEO, and owner. His legacy in the construction world will be remembered for generations.
Beyond his professional achievements, Bob was a skilled woodworker who found joy in creating with his hands. He had a passion for travel and socializing, always eager to share stories and laughter with friends and loved ones.
Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kindness, strength, humor, and zest for life leave an indelible mark on those who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.
The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Monday, March 25, 2024 from 2:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
