Obituary

Robert D. Brown, Jr. "Boobus" Robert D Brown, Jr. passed away November 4, 2011 after a courageous 15 month battle against lung cancer. Robert was born in Oregon, Ohio November 27, 1954 to Robert D. and Phyllis (Apel) Brown, both of whom preceded him in death. "Bob" or "Boobus" or "Boob", as he was known by his friends and family, was a graduate of Clay High School, Class of 1972. He was employed by Oldcastle Building Envelope for 25 years and was shift supervisor of the door department. Bob loved the game of golf and enjoyed Saturday morning scrambles. He enjoyed fishing and loved playing guitar and listening to real rock and roll. Bob could often be found in his woodworking shop making something, usually for someone else. Bob was a devout fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. He always said he had to support his "Tribe and Brownies" no matter how they were doing. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of nearly 8 years, Diane; brother, Daniel Brown (Deb); sisters, Cindi Bird (Ed) and Kathy Davis (Dale); brothers in law, Dennis Grotz (Gail) and David Grotz; sister in law, Debra Grotz; step daughters, Lisa Drebes, Tracy Mildon and Heather Swan; numerous nieces and nephews; life long friend Thomas Swaya as well as many other friends. There will be a graveside service Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 12 noon at St. John Cemetery, 2471 Seaman St, Toledo. The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to First St. John'™s Lutheran Cemetery Fund or the American Cancer Society.
