Robert L. Coupe, 78, of Millbury, passed away Monday, April 19, 2010 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. He was born in Toledo, Ohio to Frederick and Doris Coupe. Robert was an engineer with several local companies including Owens Illinois, Palmer and Associates, and Glass Tech, prior to retirement. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Peter UCC, Millbury where he sang in the choir for many years. Robert was a longtime member of the Millbury Fire Department, Genoa American Legion, and Dunberger Post. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Janice, daughters, Terry Gilbert, Laurie (Michael) Rabenstine, and Christi (Michael) Schneider; grandchildren, Jamie (Dan), Melissa (Luke), Kayla (Levi), Carly and Christian Gilbert, Brooke, Austin, and Kody Gottfried; great grandchildren, Grace, Emma, and Shane; dear friend, Dr. Paul Byrne. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road on Friday, April 23rd from 11:00 am until time of memorial service at 3:00pm.
