Robert Dieckmann, 79, of Oregon, Ohio passed away August 21, 2009 at the Lutheran Home at Toledo. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 11, 1930 to Henry and Marie (Fitschen) Dieckmann. Bob had been employed for 32 years at Libbey Owens Ford as a glassworker, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Clark Street United Methodist Church. Robert was a 50 year member of the Paragon Lodge, the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio and Grand Council Royal and Select Masons of Ohio. He was a past Master at the Paragon Lodge and member of Supreme Council Order of Amaranth, Inc. Robert was an avid outdoors man and loved to hunt,fish and go camping.
Surviving are his wife, Louise; children, Cheryl (Kevin) Cousino and Robert (Pamela) Dieckmann; granddaughter, Dawn (Dan) Mikolas; great grandchildren, Jack and Lyla; sister, Irene Ewersen. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother, Richard.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Sunday from 1–9 p.m. with Masonic Services at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Robert's memory can be made to the Clark Street United Methodist Church or the Paragon Lodge Building Fund.
