Robert E. Reed, 75, passed away on August 26, 2017 surrounded by his loved ones at home. Robert was born September 11, 1941 in Wauseon, Ohio to the late Harold and Jane Reed. Bob was a farmer for 17 years and then became a mason, working for Local 3 for 19 years. He retired at the age of 60 and that's when he became a snowbird, traveling to Florida for the winters. Bob was a past member of the Ottawa River Yacht Club and Harbor View Yacht Club. He loved being on Lake Erie in his boat, "Krazy B's." Bob certainly lived up to that name! He also liked NASCAR especially Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. Bob is survived by his loving best friend and companion of 35 years, Barbara Hixenbaugh; brother, Tom (Carol) Reed; children, Mike (Jen) Reed, Kara (Dave) Marado, Dawn (Matt) Wagner, Ron Koles Jr; grandchildren, Nick, Joel, Brandon and Nolan Wagner, Chad and Jacob Koles, Jenelle (Matt) Kruse, Jack and Ben Reed, Jacob and Grace Marado; and last but not least his dog Bailey. The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice and the staff of their outstanding care they provided to Bob as well as the Home Care team, Nichole, Erin, Lori, Joe and Barb's sister, Bonnie Bunce. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 30, at 1:00 PM and followed by visitation from 2-7 pm at Eggleston-Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio. Interment will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, Aug 31, at Wauseon Union Cemetery, Wauseon, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donor's choice.
