Robert E. Sundermeier, 83, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, OH. Robert was born in Latcha, Ohio, on February 27, 1931 to Fredrick and Mary (Bahnsen) Sundermeier. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for over 30 years and proud of the fact that he helped build the Woodville Mall. Robert had a great sense of humor, enjoyed camping and gardening. He also served as camp host at Maumee Bay State Park campground and enjoyed spending winters in Zephyr Hills, Florida. Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Sylvia; son Jimmy (Vickey) Moore; daughters, Charlotte (Stephen) Preston, Sharon (John) Owad and Julie Ann Moore; grandchildren, Jennifer and Kayla; 11 step grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Robert. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 1:00 pm '" 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 3rd at 11:00 m in the funeral home with interment following at Lake Township Cemetery.
