Robert G. Ferguson, 78, of Curtice, OH, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2005 in his home. Robert was born in Toledo on July 4, 1927 to Charles and Pearl Ferguson. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Ferguson was employed for 36 years at Standard Oil before his retirement in 1986. He also was the owner and operator of Al Szuch Live Bait for the past 11 years. He was a member of VFW Post # 2510, Paragon Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Zenobia Shrine where he was a member of the Directors Staff.
Surviving are his children, Terry (Cheryl) Ferguson, Richard (Pam) Ferguson, Tracy (Richard) Hansen; brothers, Richard (Gloria) and James (Margie) Ferguson; sister in law, Loretta Waters; mother-in-law, Lillian Wainright; grandchildren, Dawn (Mike) Vargyas, Jodi Ferguson, Tori (Dave Baertschi) Ferguson, Toby (Serena Aquirre) Ferguson, Mandy and Molly Hansen; great grandchildren, Chelsea, Adrienne and Madison Vargyas, Lindsay and Derek Lance, Toby, Chase and Gavin Ferguson. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Beverly; grandson, Ricky Hansen and brother, Chubby Ferguson.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio on Friday from 2 - 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00 pm. Interment will be private. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Shriner Children's Burn Hospitals.
