Robert "Hogger" Fountain, 64 of Toledo passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 after a long illness. He was born in Oregon, Ohio, to Eugene and Ruth (Lenz) Fountain. Hog was a graduate of Waite High School. He was a United States Marine Veteran. Hog coached at Raymer (ETJFL) for 20 years, which he truly loved and the players. He was an avid sports fan, but his heart bled blue and gold for U of M Wolverines. Hogger loved his dogs, Homer, Montana, Sheldon, Ruby and Dakota, and his cat, Ivan; even though some went before him, his love was still there. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, but most of all just being with his family and friends, as he was the "life of the party", GO BLUE! He will always be remembered as a good husband, father, a great papa and a really cool "Dude"!

Surviving are his loving wife of 27 years, Monica; son, Thomas (Wendy) Burtscher; grandchildren, Thomas, Lilly, Charlee; siblings, Gene (Jacque) Fountain, Barbara Thomas; Mary Fountain. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Ruth (Lenz) Fountain; sister, Ruth "Sis" Tibble and Betty Fountain.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, where his funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be made to his family.
