Robert (Bob) M. Free passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 11, 2005 in his home in Estero. FL. Bob's first job at age 9 was at the Free-Way Restaurant. He then worked in the food and beverage business in Hawaii, Las Vegas, Colorado, Alaska and Florida. He graduated from Clay High School in 1970 and Adrian College in 1975. He was an avid sports fan, playing basketball and golf and loved skiing in Colorado. In recent years, Bob had loved playing duplicate bridge. He represented the Bridge Club in Fort Myers, FL. Bob and his bridge partner won the district, state, regional tournaments and placed in the nationals. He is survived by father, Roelf Skip (Barb) Free, Ft. Myers Beach, FL; mother, Donna (George) Grabach Fielding , Oregon, OH; brothers, John (Janet) Free, Oregon, OH and William (Jeanie) Free, Ft. Myers, FL; nephew and nieces Randy R. Fowler, Millbury, Candice (Chris) Fussell, Oregon, Lacey Free, Toledo and Jonathan and Garrison Free, Ft. Myers, FL; goddaughter, Kim Reiss Colorado; loving aunts and uncles, Sandra Robeson, Barbara (Harry) Tubbs, Delores (Harvey) Burchell and Delilah Grabach and many loving cousins. Bob will always be remembered as a loving caring son, brother, uncle nephew and cousin. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Wanda Free; Walter and Chrystal Grabach; cousin, Charles Bruchell; best friends, Jim Coontz and George Bires. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon on Friday from 2 until the time of his funeral service at 8:00 p.m. Interment will be private. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Bob's memory are asked to consider the Spina Bifida Society or the Shrine Crippled Children's Hospital in Chicago.
