Robert L. Hurst, 87, of Northwood passed away Thursday, March 9, 2006, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Bob was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 11, 1918, to Charles and Ethel (Bruner) Hurst. He had worked for the former American Motors Company for 25 years, retiring in 1981. Bob was a very active member of the former Second Baptist Church. Surviving are his loving wife of 68 years, Margaret M. Hurst; children, Robert Charles (Judy) Hurst, Karen Ann (Clyde Sharlow) Almester; grandchildren, Kristina Kohlhofer, Michael Pavuk, Cynthia Zielinski, Bonnie Herrmann; 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Robert Scott Hurst; brothers, Carl, Charles; sisters, Eva, Martha, Ethel, Mary Alice. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
