Robert F. Kern Jr., 64, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 22, 1954 to Robert and Elsie (Schutt) Kern Sr. Robert obtained his Associates Degree then went on to work for LOF and Ace Warehouse. He was an avid Detroit Tigers and Red Wings fan. In his later years he had a passion for working on computers. Surviving is his son, Robert Kern III; grandson, Nathaniel Kern; siblings, Donna Smith, Diane Jarzynski, Randy Kern and Debbie (Randy) Kirby and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, longtime companion, Kathy Horton; sister, Ginger Kern; brother, Gary Kern; and brother-in-law's, James Smith and William Jarzynski. In accordance to Robert's wishes services will remain private. Eggleston-Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
