Robert F. King, 79, of Oregon, Ohio passed away April 27, 2004 in his home. He
was born in Toledo on September 11, 1924 to William and Vera (Warren) King.
Robert was a US Navy Veteran , serving his country during WWII . He was a member of Eastminister Presbyterian Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #197 Jackman Road. Bob was employed by the Sun Oil Company as a Stationary
Engineer for over 43 years before retiring. He loved to dance, was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles and outdoor activities, especially gardening.
Surviving are his children, Douglas ( Shawnee) and Roberta Lamb; sister,
Patricia (Richard) Raitz; grandchildren, Joshua King, Matthew R. and Trisha E.
Lamb; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Lorraine Wells. Robert was
preceded in death by his wife, Dolores; parents and brother, William.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy
Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Wednesday, April 28, 2004 from 2-9 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Robert's name may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the American Cancer Society. The King family would like to give a special thanks to Robin Love and the entire staff at Hospice for their care and support.
