Robert "Bob" King, 66, of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 6, 1960 to Paul and Ruth Ann (Hansen) King. Bob graduated from Clay High School, Class of 1978, and would later marry, Brenda (Swan) on August 15, 1986. First and foremost, Bob was a man of God and would always read his daily prayers. He loved to hunt and fish with his boys and that has been passed down to his beloved grandchildren. Bob was always "present," always available if anyone needed anything. Throughout his life, which started at a young age, his passion for sports and coaching was always present. Bob, was involved in the Oregon community as a coach starting at the age of 18. The love of the game and passion to mold the youth in our community continued for the next 45 years. Bob loved being an umpire, and if he had an hour he'd be ready to be on the field. One of his fondest moments was being able to have his boys as his crew members for the ABBC Championship Game at the Oregon Rec. He didn't just ump or coach baseball, he was always wanting to help in all sports including football, where he was able to coach his grandson, Austin with the Jr. Eagles. In the past few years Bob wasn't always feeling well, but when a grandchild needed something, he made sure he was well enough to be with them. Bob loved his kids, his family and his community, but what he cherished most were his beloved grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife of 40 years, Brenda; children, Luke (Jenna) Cousineau, Seth (Meghan) King, Leah (Andrew) Rudnik; grandchildren, Ryleigh Jo, Austin Michael, Ethan Robert Mark, Charlotte Jo, Reese Marvell, Rebecca Jo, Wyatt Robert; sister, Fran (Brent) Wilber; and brother, David King. He was preceded in death by his parents; and step-father, Ralph Kohlhofer.

The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio, 43616 on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m.
