Obituary

Robert J. Kowal, 37, of Bono, Ohio, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Regency Hospital, Sylvania, after a 25 year struggle with fibromyalgia. Robert was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 18, 1975 to Paul and Sandra (Baldwin) Kowal. He had a great interest in the game of baseball, especially the Detroit Tigers, watching every game from spring training to the World Series. He especially enjoyed watching Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera. Robert had a great interest in reading, especially The Lord of The Rings Trilogy. His interests in reading extended to science fiction and religious books of all types. He also enjoyed collecting and watching films. He enjoyed all films, especially those from Clint Eastwood and Harrison Ford. His true passion was to become a film director but his disability prevented him from doing so. He admired the work of Stephen Spielberg and George Lucas. His all time favorite movies were from the Star Wars Trilogy since they began in 1977. Robert also enjoyed collecting Star Wars memorabilia and spending time working with computers. Robert is survived by his parents, Paul and Sandra; sister, Jackie (Gary) Carr; niece, Kasey Carr; and nephew, Adam Carr. Private services will be held. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
