Robert C. Payeff, age 86, of Oregon Ohio, passed away May 18, 2022. Robert (Bob) was born on July 28, 1935 to John and Anne Payeff, and grew up in Toledo, OH. Bob graduated from Waite High School in 1953 and served in the United States Army. On January 23, 1967 he married the love of his life, Ann Spanopoulos and had three children which he was extremely proud of. Bob was employed at Sun Refining in the payroll department for 35 years retiring in 1991. Along with his career at Sun Refining, Bob partnered with his brother Ron and owned & operated "The Igloo," an ice cream shop in Toledo. This ownership lasted 17 years and gave him the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people and create life-long friendships. Bob always loved talking to people and his good friends always called him "Bobby." What Bob cherished the most was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He would love to sit down and share his wisdom with them whenever he had the chance. He was so proud of all of them and they were also very proud to have him as their Dedo. Surviving is his loving wife of 55 years, Ann, children Sandra, John (Julie), Sherri (Tony) Sherock, grandchildren Brandon (Kate), Matthew, Nickolas, Sydney, & Sophia; brothers, Ron (Helen) & Gary. He was preceded in death by his parents John & Anne Payeff. Private funeral services will be held with interment in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral Church or the American Heart Association. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family.
