Robert W. 'œBob' Pendrey, 76 of Curtice, Ohio, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Genoa Retirement Village. . He was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 13, 1934 to William F. and Leona (Schultz) Pendrey. Bob served his country in the US Army. On October 28, 1961, he married Ruth Klawitter. Bob worked as a produce manager for Seaway Foodtown for 36 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Williston, Allen Township Volunteer Fire Department and Cooley Canal Yacht Club. His hobbies included fishing, playing cards, scratch-off lottery, and working crossword puzzles. His true passion was spending time with his grandchildren. Bob is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ruth; daughter, Lynne (Ronald) Demko; grandchildren, Trey and Jenna Demko; brothers in-law and sisters in-law, Paul (Marge), Charlotte (Bob), Rita (Jim), Jane (Richard), Jean (Steven). He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 2:00-8:00 pm where fire department services will be held at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday in the funeral home with interment following at Allen Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Allen-Clay Joint Fire District.
