Robert O. Perry, 73, of Toledo, Ohio passed away May 5, 2014 at University of Toledo Medical College. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 10, 1940 to Charles and Pauline (Stanzy) Perry. Bob was a 1958 graduate of Waite High School, where he was also awarded an honorable mention in basketball, the same year. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958-1961. During his service, he worked on USS Tirante Submarine, Squadron 420. Bob also received his education from Purdue Extension in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Through the years, Bob was employed at Magnavox in Ft. Wayne, IN, Libbey Owens Ford and Photonics Technology.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; sons, Robert Scott (Glynis Machaterre) and Ross Edward (Kellie Ann) Perry; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grand child; and brothers, Marvin and Jack Perry. Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Dunberger Post 4925, Pickle Road, Oregon, on Sunday, May 11 from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Swan Creek Metropark.
